The procedure
Since Body Stress Release is a process, the client is required to make 3 initial appointments. These 3 sessions (on day 1, day 4 and day 11) are necessary as certain changes occur after the first visit.
The first appointment will last approximately 1 to 1,5 hours with follow-ups lasting about 45 minutes. During our first visit I will take a detailed case history after which you will lie down fully clothed on a uniquely designed BSR couch. I will then proceed to test for body stress and apply the releases needed, after which I will explain my findings and give advice as to how you can support your own healing process. This will include self-help techniques as well as advice on posture and good use of the body.
After three BSR sessions most people experience sufficient benefit to have a sense of its effectiveness. In some cases additional sessions are required for clients to feel noticeable benefits. If a further appointment is needed it will be made after the third visit.
Time required for healing?
Body Stress Release is based on a deep respect for the body's own intelligence. The length of time it takes for the body to heal and the extent of healing vary from person to person. It often depends on how long body stress has been stored in the body, the impact of the initial stress and the client's own responsibility in doing everything he can to support his healing process.
“No feeling, no healing.”
Body Stress Release sessions activate an on-going healing process within the body. BSR is such a gentle technique that it cannot cause damage or injury. Any discomfort, which may be felt after a session, is always due to the restoration of communication between the body and the brain. This may result in temporary reactions such as tiredness, or physical or emotional sensitivity, which all can be a necessary part of the body's natural self-healing process.
